A few months ago we had a couples game night with some friend we have come to love in the ward and through Tyson's masters program. This Saturday, we decided we needed a good laugh so we called up our friends and planned to get together. You have to have treats when your having fun so Teagan and I made brownies. She made a little mess but was really trying hard to help her mommy. What a good girl.

Let it SNOW!
When we first moved to Coeur d'alene, everyone said the winters are very mild. What! I guess we brought the cold Rexburg winters with us but without the wind. This is one of the most snowy, cold winters CDA has had in over 10 years. On Friday night it started snowing and although it stopped here and there. It is still snowing and it is Tuesday. Last I heard, which was on Sunday, we got 6 inches of snow but I am definately convinced it is way over that now. Everyones church was cancelled on Sunday but ours, lol. School has been cancelled for the last couple days. It is a gorgeous snow and it has made CDA a winter wonder land.

Sledding
Ever since Christmas, Teagan has been standing on the windowsill looking out at the snow she could be playing in and saying "out" over and over again. I would take her out everyday but it has been freezing lately. Finally I gave in, since the weather was a little warmer and we got a dump of snow the last 3 days. We decided to go sledding for family home evening. We borrowed sleds from ward members and headed to a fun little hill. I have to admit, Tyson and I weren't too excited about going but after a couple of runs down the hill, I realized that we were little two little kids having a blast. Even though in the pictures it looks like Teagan is miserable, she loved it. There was one run that had a jump and I think I could have gone on that run over and over again. It was soooooo fun!

Teagan looks really really happy in this picture. I think by now she was thinking "come on guys, lets go home".

Teagan's Fav Hot Spot

Since the weather started turning ugly, and our 2 bedroom apartment got lonely, we decided to start going to the new public library to a class called Leap Tots for children under 2. The teacher sings songs, reads books, and has a bubble machine that the children are obsessed with. Most kids run around but my shy little Teagan is attached to my side, afraid for her life, taking in all these other crazy children. It is a lot of fun and Teagan is starting to participate in a lot of the fun and games. She definately keeps me on my feet while cruising the library and pulling all the books of the shelves. She loves the library.

Pre Christmas in Malad
Before we headed to Malad we decided to take Teagan on a Cruise on CDA lake to Santas North Pole. It was a lot of fun to hear Santa call out Teagan name.
On The 18th we traveled to Malad to be with family. We had tones of fun hanging out, going out to eat, and visiting friends. We met my grandma and grandpa Folsom, my aunt Donna and my cousins Erica and Nicole in Salt Lake for dinner. While we were waiting for them to arrive we walked around temple square.
We had a lot of fun visiting and enjoying time with my grandma who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She is one of the greatest role models in my life and I want to take every chance I can to create lasting memories with her. She is doing so good and has such an wonderful attitude about this trial in her life and amazingly enough, her hair hasn't fallen out even with chemo treatments.
While we were in Malad, we had a little family Christmas party before we headed back to CDA on the 23rd. It was really fun to get to spend time with this amazing family that has so warmly taken me into their lives. MaryAnn was more then generous with the gifts and we love them so much. She is an amazing grandmother and mother.

Christmas
On the 23rd we headed back to CDA to spend Christmas at home. Because I had to work Christmas Day night, my family came to CDA to spend Christmas with us. Although all of us passed the flu to eachother, we still had a blast. On Christmas eve we went last minute Christmas shopping, went to Olive Garden for dinner, and then drove around and looked at the Christmas lights. As we were driving we saw what we thought was a life size, ginger bread man which turned out to be a real person. The two Tyson's went and got a picture with this sweat old lady. She said they do this every year but this year not many people came to look at thier lights. My mom bought us all matching PJ's and Christmas eve was full of a traditional candle passing (when the candle is passed to you by someone in the family you express something that you are greatful for on Christmas), skits, and games (of course). We had tones of fun thanks to my family making the sacrifice to be with us this Christmas.
Teagan is in love with wearing hats, especially head bands. Santa sent her a Teagan size head band that she instantely fell in love with. The rest of the day she was wearing her cute little head band.
It started out with Teagan getting her first doll on Christmas, now she has three of the same dolls all in different sizes (large, medium and small). She loves her dolly's though. It was the first thing that she wanted when she saw what Santa brought her. Every morning when I wake up she is holding one of her babies.
The morning of the 26th, when I got off work, we headed to Canada in a hurry so that Tyson could make it for the alumni tourney. It was a lot of fun to watch their team make it to the finals and it was a close game but they ended up loosing. The whole week was full of games, watching my little brother in the Christmas Classic basketball tourney, shopping, going out to eat and celebrating our anniversary and new years eve and day, and getting together with my high school girl friends. I love going home to visit. It was really hard to say goodbye but we were ready to get back to our own little home waiting for us in CDA.
We love all the support that we have had from family and all the memories that we have created this Christmas season, my favorite holiday. Thanks everyone so much.
