Hillarious Boy

I love my kids

This is the adorable face that I get to wake up to every morning. I love this little guy. He is such a good baby and puts up with so much. I couldn't help but capture the moment of looking into his crib and how excited he get to explore life. I am such a lucky mom to have to happy healthy children.

Hudson is now 5 months and I felt so guilty eating in front of the little guy so we decided to give rice cereal a try. He didn't know what was going into his mouth. He had the most disgusted look on his face. I knew it wasn't going to pan out not to mention the mess it leaves me to clean. I guess I will wait one more month which is kind of a relief.

My grandpas celebrated his 77th birthday this weekend. It was so good to see him and how healthy and happy he was but it was not the same without grandma there. I am glad that I have such a wonderful grandpa that is always telling us jokes and making us smile. I love him so much.

Before arriving at the party, we decided to stop at temple square to check out the lights. It was beautiful and Teagan was so excited but we drove around for a half an hour looking for a parking spot. It was crazy with people.

Teagan ran right into Santa Clause though and was so excited. She told him she wanted a trunk with shoes and dresses. When Santa left we looked for him on the roof tops as he flew off to the North Pole but we missed him.

Happy Third Birthday

My baby is growing up and I would be lying if I said I was thrilled. Time goes bye way too fast and I don’t want to miss anything and I want to capture everything but it is impossible. Words can’t describe how much I love Teagan. But I want to make a list of some of my favorite things about her:
Her laugh
How tough she thinks she is
How girly she is
That no matter how bad of a mom I have been that day she still thinks I am the greatest
Her imagination ( I am a different Disney character every day)
Her willingness to help mom with Hudson
Her patience with Hudson
Her soft heart (she always is so concerned and gives me a hug when I am crying)
The list could go on forever. Teagan just had her third birthday. That morning she woke up to wrapped presents. For breakfast we had star waffles. Teagan opened a present before her dad left for work which was a ballerina dress and a cute dress to wear that night. We got all ready for the day and then headed over to the store to pick up balloons and icing. Teagan picked a cute “My Little Pony” Balloon. We then headed home and waited for dad to get home from work so that we could go to eat. Teagan wanted to eat a McDonalds which I was hesitant about but decided to let her because we had to pick up my little brother in Tremonton and we were in a hurry. We then hurried home for her birthday party. We made princess castle invitations to her birthday and I made her a princess cake as one of her many requests. All her cousins arrived and she opened presents. She got a Dora dress (she looked adorable in), clothes, Cinderella kit, a princess cd player, a tea set, a Dixie College pink zip up, a paint set, a sticker book, a games, books, headbands and star sunglasses that she was obsessed with. She was awesome the whole night and played well with her cousins by sharing her new toys.

Eternal Families

A lot has happened in the past three weeks. My sister and best friend Riess got married. I was able to grow especially closer to my sister throughout the week by watching her enjoy 3 bridal showers, get her beautiful bridals taken, recieve her endowment, and have fun as sisters the night before giving eachother pedicures and manicures. I love my sister so much and she is such an example of mercy, love and charity. I was blessed to witness her eternal sealing to Sean and what a reminder it was for Tyson and I of our own sealing. This week has strengthened my testimony of eternal families so much. My sister is starting her own eternal family while my grandma who passed away on Saturday October 17th, has made it possible for each of us to see her once again because she too has been sealed to her family. Although she will be missed terribly, this has brought me such comfort to know that I can see my grandma again. My grandma is such an example to me of a women that loved unconditionally and served willingly. I hope to be just like her throughout my life and to continue our family heritage of eternal families. I starting to cry pretty hard when I saw my grandma dressed in her temple clothes during the viewing. I wondered when the next time would be that I would have a conversation with my grandma. Tyson was holding Teagan right next to me and she looked down at me and with those big eyes she told me that I too would die one day and be with grandma and Heavenly Father again. I needed to hear that from my little girl and that gave me a reassurance and peace of the plan of salvation.

Borrowed Time

There is a very special person in my life that we almost lost today. This person is my Grandma Folsom. My Grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer two summers ago and hasn't smoked or been around smokers a day of her life. Since her diagnosis she has been a fighter. With Stage 4 lung cancer, it cannot be cured but can be treated and most people live a few months, not a couple of years. But she not only fights through the nausea and pain that she has to suffer constantly for herself, but for all of us that love her so much and don't want to see her go. Yesterday was my Grandma 77th birthday and last week all the family that could make it gathered to surprise Grandma for her birthday. Because I was nursing Hudson in a nearby room I wasn't able to sing Happy Birthday to my grandma but I could hear them singing. I fought to hold back the tears but it was pointless. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has given us so much time with Grandma. Another birthday, another moment, another day. I love this women so much and I know that Heavenly Father has a timeline for all of us but once again I am so grateful to have had such an amazing grandma to strive to follow in her footsteps. I love you Grandma.

Hudson's Baby Blessing

First of all I want to thank everyone that helped make Hudson's blessing so memorable. It couldn't have been done with out those that traveled from far distances, brought food, set up tables, did my hair, wrote down Hudson's blessing, and helped me keep my sanity. The blessing day went so smoothly because of all of our close friends and family.
During sacrament meeting I couldn't help but feel the spirit so strongly, especially having so many loved ones supporting our new little addition to our family. Not only are we blessed to have his special spirit in our home but he is blessed as well with a family and extended family that love him unconditionally. And on September 6, the people in our lives that we have grow to love, came to support our son as he was blessed by his father. I couldn't help feeling the spirit as Tyson blessed Hudson with wonderful things to come in the future and I was so proud to have a husband that honors his priesthood. I thank those that shared testimonies that continued to ignite the spirit in the church. There were a few family and friends that couldn't make it due to certain circumstances and I want them to know that they were missed.

After sacrament meeting we headed down to the city park for the dinner. I thought initially that we might blow away with the wind but the wind settled and we had so much fun visiting and enjoying the park. It was hard to say goodbye to those that had to travel back to their homes but once again I appreaciate the effort in coming to Hudson's blessing so much and everyone that helped, thank you.

I was really smart and forgot my camera so I stole some of these photo's from Lindsey's blog.

When we got home my mom and I took some quick snapshots of Hudson all dressed up so handsome. He slept from sacrament, throughout the entire dinner and play and woke up right as everyone was leaving because Nate wanted to hold him. Thanks Nate!

Tom Boy?

Teagan is growing more and more each day which I hate. I want to keep her little forever. She is so special to me. She is my little princess. This past few months she has been on a princess kick. One day while Hudson was sleeping we made princess crowns. She loved her crown and ran all over the yard with it. It was hillarious. She also got invited to a tea party at her friend Hallie's house. I had her mom take some pictures for me. It was so cute, possibly birthday or Christmas gift. I love her so much and hope she continues to have a great imagination.

St. George

A couple weeks ago my baby brother decided to grow up and go to college. He is playing baseball for Dixie State and my parent and him decided to stop on the way there to visit. Because the kids and I had nothing better to do we decided to go along for the trip. We stayed in our time share and enjoyed the hot weather and swimming. It was a lot of fun but would have been even more fun if Tyson could have come with us. At the end of the week we met Tyson in Utah for a reunion. I couldn't have been happier to see him.

Clown Hair

I have been waiting patiently for Teagan's hair to get long enough that I can put it in sponge curler to sleep in. When I told her today was the day to attempt curlers she was more than excited because she helps hand her great grandma the curlers every thurs when getting a perm. I thought I did a pretty good job putting them in her hair, I am very hair challenged and we made sure to document it with these pics. But, in the morning my confidence suddenly shattered as I started taking out the curlers. Teagan definitley had curls but they were so tight she looked like she was wearing a clown wig. I tried as hard as I could not to laugh. I wanted to first see what Teagan's reaction was. I told her to go ahead and look. She stood up to gaze in the mirror all excited and then got a huge smile on her face then we both broke out laughing. She told me her hair looks crazy. It was hillarious.

Perfect

I have been a horrible mom and haven't had pictures of Teagan in a while. Last week I got a text from my amazing sister in law who happens to also be an amazing photographer saying she wants to take pictures of my newborn and my daughter. I was a little nervous that my daughter wouldn't perform well because she is very selective and you never know what Teagan is going to show up. Well the angel Teagan showed up and was doing every single pose that her aunt Ad asked. Thank you Ad so much for these pictures that I will always have, there perfect. I literally had 35 favorites but here is just a sample and my newborns announcements are coming soon.

Hudson Thayne Daniels

Our internet is finally up and running. It has been killing me that I haven't been able to post my new baby boy for the past week. Hudson was born on July 13 and weighed 6'4 lbs and was 18 inches (although I think there was a mistake since at his 4 day checkup he was 19 1/2 inches). He is the most mellow and relaxed baby and loves his big sister. Teagan has been great! She has been so patient, loving, and kind to her new little brother. She calls him "my baby" where ever we go and is very protective of him. We are all doing well and sorry it took so long to post these.
